So, after going to all places in Westminster, I still go out of my way to come in here. Mostly because of their staff. So far the only one in the area with common sense and nice. They are about business and treat people decently. From all the guys at front desk and the one always giving me wine recommendations, to the tall blond lady at the cashier, excellent. So, I drive 5 extra miles to come here. And will keep doing as long as they keep standing out against their competitors. Here I find a large variety of wines, liquors and helpful employees. What do I get on the other stores? Grief!

After moving back to the Westminster area after years in Virginia where I could find some great craft beer at grocery stores, I was hard pressed to find a liquor store that offered a wide selection. College Square did just that, and I have been able to find a lot of great options here!

Mike and his gang really know their stuff when it comes to the wine and spirits. Ask them about any particular brand or manufacturer and they will do their best to get it.

It's in the same shopping center as Safeway which makes it a convenient stop. Decent selection and prices. Sometimes they have vendors there to showcase their products.

This place has a great selection. Their prices are not super competitive, but their wine tastings on Saturday afternoons will open up your horizons. Be warned though, the regulars bring actual glasses from home. The better to taste the wine my dear!

They have regular tastings for wine and liquor, and the staff are knowledgeable enough to make recommendations if you have questions. Talk to the long-haired guy if he's in, he knows everything. If you want something that isn't in stock, ask and they could place a special order for you.

We ordered beer and wine for our wedding through College Square Liquors, and they procured exactly what we asked for at a fair price and delivered it to the venue on time. Our guests were really happy with the bar.

It's small- not a big warehouse or anything. But they have a good selection of craft and imported beers, wines (including Spanish and Portuguese), and ciders and meads. There are weekly tastings and Mike will happily try to get you things he doesn't carry in stock.

I had a little incident in which the card board ripped on a 12 pack causing me to drop it and the beer burst. They were very quick to get me a replacement and take care of it. With all the competition in the area... the customer service is top notch and worth it.

WineLiquor guy is knowledgeable. Staff is helpful when asked. Their pricing is better than another local liquor store. And their selections is good. They do a lot of tastings.

Best beer and wine selection in the area, with wine tastings every Saturday and beer tastings most Fridays. Craft beer club is a great deal as well. Beer is getting quite expensive, but that seems to be a wider problem as I've seen it at other stores too.

Decent prices and a decent selection (depending what you are looking for). As far as their craft beer selection goes I'm not very impressed despite them having one of the better selections in the area.

They keep a ton of stock of the best wine, Voulet, sometimes it's the only place you can find it. The staff is always extremely helpful and friendly.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Best craft beer selection in Westminster, whether you want a 6 pack or a case. Huge selection of bombers - probably over 100 different types ranging from American IPAs with high IBUs to Belgian ales. Whisky selection is pretty solid too. They even have a special College Square bottling of Elijah Craig bourbon. The store got to pick a cask and the distillery bottles it as their "own" special bottle. I have not perused the wine selection but it looks like it should be pretty good based on the size of the place.

Best beer Selection in all of Carroll County.

The "dude with a ponytail" referenced in the first review is Mike, and he's a doll. I like this store so much better than Cranberry because they take the mystique out of wine. As a veteran of many of Mike's wine tastings, I've had the opportunity to learn that his philosophy is to find you a wine that you will like. There's no pretension, no snobbiness. I've learned a lot about wine from the staff here without getting the unspoken "you like THAT swill??" feeling I've gotten from other stores--Cranberry included.

I guess it helps that they also keep my rather unusual beer in stock just for me. I like that personal attention. A super place.
